My husband and I have been going to Essa Road Chiropractic and massage for over 10 years. After having been to many other chiropractors and massage therapists over the years, I haven’t gone anywhere else since we found Dr. Mike (chiropractor) and Myka (massage therapist). Also, the reception team is always friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend going here if you are looking for a new healthcare team for top-shelf services.
I have been seeing Dr. Mike for 11 years. He is very knowledgeable about how the body works, and explains in detail why you feel the pain you do. He makes himself available whenever I have needed to see him, and his staff are wonderful as well! Highly recommend!
Hans Teschl started to treat me in 2004 when I had low back pain. I was very grateful to have him take care of me in this difficult time. Mike is no doubt well trained but he has a natural healing ability. He seems to sense where the pain is coming from and zeros in on fixing it.

Dr Hans is an amazing chiropractor! I have been seeing a chiropractor for over half my life due to a childhood injury and when I moved to Barrie I was looking for someone who could replace my beloved chiropractor from my old town. Since I moved, for over two and a half years now, Hans has helped me live without back pain and migraines! He also helped me stay pain free through my pregnancy and postpartum journey!
Hans, Jane and the team are such a pleasure to work with and I plan to continue to get adjustments regularly!

Absolutely hands down the best Chiropractic Centre anyone could ever ask for, I met Jane and Dr. Hans today, who were both fantastic and friendly people, and Dr. Hans’ work already makes my back feel quite a bit better and more loose. I have been seeing Dr. Mike for a few years now and would recommend him to anyone! The office staff are great, Mike is very patient and understanding even with people who are nervous of chiropractic (as I was when I started) and the office has a very comfortable feel to it. I recently brought my young daughter in who was getting headaches and Dr Mike was able to work out some neck issues and get rid of the headaches completely! He is also very reasonably priced and does NOT make you pay ahead of time like some other chiros in town.
I started having low back pain at the age of 39 after I had my first child. I went to see Dr. Mike. After a few treatments, I felt like new. He was very knowledgable, kind, gentle, and a good listener. His office is very clean. His staff are very friendly. I do not hesitate in giving Dr. Mike the highest possible rating and my sincere recommendation to anybody who is looking for an outstanding chiropractor. I was recommended by a friend who clearly pointed me in the right direction.
Dr. Mike is fantastic!!! He really cares about his patients well-being and never tells you that you ‘have to come in’…if you need it…make the appointment, if not then there is no need to see him. He is always friendly, caring and knows his stuff. Best doctor I’ve ever encountered. His staff are great too!

Dr Mike is AWESOME! I have been going to him for a few years now and I would, and have, highly recommended him to family and friends. He is very knowledgeable and talks to you in terms you can understand. He is very patient, courteous, punctual, and a pleasure to deal with. He has helped both me and my wife on several occasions with back and neck issues. Barrie is indeed lucky to have him! As for his staff…I cannot say enough about them…very pleasant, and they always have a SMILE on their faces! I hope he and they are around for years to come!!!
I love this man! I’ve had sciatic pain for many years and have only ever had temporary relief when seeing other doctors. I last saw Dr Mike about two months ago and am STILL pain free! He’s much different than anyone I’ve ever been too. Also his receptionists never turned me down if I needed to come in to see him, even on short notice.
Dr. Mike is very knowledgeable and explains the cause and treatment of your condition. His office staff is very helpful and pleasant. I have recommended family members and many friends to Dr. Mike.
For approximately four years, Dr Mike was able to keep my symptoms from spinal stenosis and what would ultimately require fusion and decompression of L2-L5 surgery manageable. Some times the appointments were quick sometimes not but he would always take whatever time was necessary based on the symptoms presented that day to ensure I left there feeling a bit better. Tracy, his primary receptionist, is exceptional. Always pleasant, always helpful. Being new to the Barrie area, I was truly fortunate to have walked through the doors to his office.
This chiropractic is an awesome atmosphere with extremely helpful staff, they are always so welcoming to everyone that comes in the door. I could not see how anyone would ever have anything bad to say about this place! I love the environment, one of my favourite places!
Very knowledgeable re acupuncture and explained everything he was doing and made sure I understood. Very kind and a pleasure to talk to. Tracey is also very kind and helpful.

I’ve been seeing the team at Barrie South Chiropractic for many, many years (I believe my first visit may have been in 1998). Every experience I’ve had has been positive. The entire team is friendly, engaging and truly cares about each patient. The service is always prompt – I’ve never waited beyond my scheduled appointment time to see either the chiropractor or the massage therapist. Hans always takes the time to answer any questions I have and is very good at making the complexity of the human body make sense to me, occasionally drawing pictures or pulling out books to help me understand. I’ve never felt rushed, despite being the patient who asks a million questions. Their team has helped me through some really difficult times. I’m grateful for them, and highly recommend them to anyone and everyone.

I saw Dr Mike a few times for my back and got orthotics from him. Good guy, doesn’t have his nose in the air like some docs. Also the staff billed my insurance for me so I didn’t even have to pay.
I’ve been a patient of Dr. Teschl for the past 3 years and can highly recommend him. His entire team is professional, friendly and focused on getting you well without costing a small fortune. I have been seeing Dr. Hans (that’s what I call him) for many years for at one time my back and now monthly visits for my neck to give me relief from the pain I experience from time to time. The one thing that really stands out was both Dr. Hans and Jane’s support when I had to go for vascular surgery a couple of years ago. Before I went for the surgery Dr. Hans made sure there wasn’t something else that was causing my problem with walking. My last appointment before my surgery I let Dr. Hans and Jane know that I was really scared and got kind of teary eyed. Dr. Hans and Jane both gave me a hug before I left. They said everything will be okay. That’s just the way this practice is. ONE BIG FAMILY. To boot both Dr. Hans and Jane were coming to visit me at the hospital, but I beat them to it by visiting them at their office. I really enjoy going for my visits each month. Not only for my neck, but a friendly chat with Dr. Hans and Jane. Brought some homemade baked goods over to their office the day before my regular appointment. I brought up the fact my lower back was killing me and with no hesitation Dr. Hans took me to his treatment room. Gave me some exercises to do as well. Now if I have a lower back problem I do the exercises. I guess I owe Dr. Hans some baked goods. All and all Dr. Hans and Jane are the best. If you have a problem with your back or neck give Jane a call and I know she will fit you in right away.

I have scoliosis and degenerative discs and have suffered for many years with back issues. I was unable to walk without a 4 legged stick and being in my early 50s this was not looking good for my future. A friend suggested Chiropractic. I was somewhat skeptical, never having been before and felt very apprehensive, but I was in incredible pain and really had no other options. So, I went to Dr. Teschl, and came out after an adjustment in a little less pain. After a week I was able to walk out of the office in virtually no pain and without that wretched stick. He gave me exercises to do to maintain a healthy back and I have not looked back from that day. I know that the help I get from my Chiropractor keeps me upright, walking and pain free.

It pleases me to tell you of my fortunate experience with Dr. Hans. After relocating to Barrie and not knowing anyone for a referral to a good chiropractor, I took a chance and walked into his office. I was greeted with a warm smile and after explaining my situation to Jane, I was immediately put at ease. I spoke with the people waiting to go in for their adjustment, and all said I wouldn’t be disappointed. I certainly was not.
